Fishing Trip: When you spend your fishing trip at Big Canon Lake Lodge we offer an outstanding variety of fishing that includes Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, Lake Trout, Muskie, & Northern Pike. We fish our main lake, the adjacent river system and five portage lakes.

Secluded Settings / Remote: Fly in to our remote American Plan Lodge near Vermilion Bay on Big Canon Lake. Our lodge is located in a remote secluded setting of northwestern Ontario, 25 miles northwest of Vermilion Bay, accessible only by float plane.

Hunting Trips: Big Canon Lake Lodge offers fly in ontario moose hunting trips for non residents as well as resident hunting.

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: Fly-in to our lodge on Big Canon Lake for your ontario fishing trip - which is famous for its Smallmouth Bass and Lake Trout.

Northern Pike: You'll find northerns in all our lakes, including on our main lake, Big Canon. The Wabigoon River System/Segise Flowage has excellent northern pike fishing. This system is adjacent to the lodge with over 25 miles available to fish.

Muskie: Francile Lake, a portage lake just across from the lodge, is a "Catch and Release" lake that contains trophy Muskie, Smallmouth Bass and Northern Pike. No Name & Little No Name lakes contain Muskies only, no other game fish are found in these waters.

Trout / Lake Trout: Our fly in lodge that is located on Big Canon Lake is famous for its Lake Trout. 75 miles of shoreline surround this deep, crystal clear, spring fed fisherman's paradise. Ranging from 3 - 4 miles wide & about 8 miles long, with a area of 5600 acres.

Walleye: A canadian fishing trip to Big Canon Lake in the Vermilion Bay area gives you the choice of fishing for walleye on the Wabigoon River System/Segise Flowage, Howard and Segise Lakes.

Whitefish: While fishing for walleye, northern pike or Lake trout there is always a possiblity of snagging a whitefish.

Perch: Big Canon Lake Lodge just north of Vermilion Bay, Ontario has lots of perch fishing which are a great panfish for a shore lunch.

Moose: Fly in to our lodge on Big Canon Lake where we offer a canadian fall moose hunt. It includes: round trip float plane from Vermilion Bay, Ontario, accomodations, meals, hunting guides, boat, motor and gas.

Birds / Grouse: Big Canon Lake Lodge offers a fall grouse hunting trip, which includes round trip float plane from Vermilion Bay, meals, modern cabin rental, boat, motor and gas.

Boat Cache: If you perfer something different while on your ontario fishing trip to Big Canon Lake, we have boat caches on Howard, Segise, Francile, No Name, Little No Name Lakes.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: Our packages include 16 ft. Lund Stalker fishing boats with pedestal seats & floors, 25HP, 4-cycle, electric start yamaha motors (2 persons per boat). Unlimited gas with camp motors.

American Plan: Big Canon Lake Lodge offers American Plan packages which include your accomodations, your meals with breakfast & dinner served in the lodge. Lunches are sandwiches or a "Shore Lunch Box", boats, motors & gas everything for a great fishing vacation.

Cabin Rentals: At Big Canon Lake Lodge near Vermilion Bay, Ontario we offer fully modern equipped cabin rentals for your canadian fishing vacation.

American Plan Fly In Lodges: We are an american plan fly-in lodge located on Big Canon Lake. Our packages include: round trip float plane from Vermilion Bay, 3 meals per day, modern cabins rentals with individual beds & refrigerator, daily maid service and boat & motor.

Licenses / Hunting: We offer hunting licenses at our resort on Big Canon Lake for your convenience.

Licenses / Fishing: We have fishing licenses and minnows are available at the lodge on Big Canon for your convenience.

Amenities / On-site Bait & Tackle: In addition to frequently overlooked items, souvenirs and an array of fishing tackle are available in our on-site bait & tackle shop.

Guides / Fishing: Fishing Guides are not considered necessary for most, but if desired, they must be reserved 30 days in advance. Our two guide boats are 17 ft. LUND OUTFITTERS with complete floors and pedestal seats. They are powered by 50 HP 4 cycle YAMAHA motors.
