Secluded Settings / Remote: Big Hook Wilderness Camp, N.W. Ontario's fly in outpost cabins are located in a remote secluded setting 185 miles north of Red Lake. The only operation in the Opasquia Park. 1.5 millon acres of boral forest, lakes, wildlife and awesome fishing.

Perch: Big Hook Wilderness Camps has 2 good perch lakes - Burnt and S.W. 10"-12" numerous and 14" common. Worm free.

Sauger : Sauger are from the same family as walleye and are very similar in appearance as well as taste. They are not as common but are caught on most of our lakes in Ontario.

Whitefish: Big Hook Wilderness Camps spring whitefish fishing is best around the rapids when the walleye are spawning. 4-5 lb. fish are common.

Wildlife Viewing: If you enjoy wildlife viewing then don't forget your camera while on vacation at our resort in Northwestern Ontario as our area is a great place for a photographic safari.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: At our outposts all our fishing boat rentals are furnished with 14' Lund boats with seats and 9.9 hp Mercury motors. Many of our lake have short portages to other lakes.

Boat Cache: Big Hook Wilderness Camps has boat chaches on several portage lakes that have excellent northern pike and walleye fishing as well Central Lake.

Fly In Access: We are a Canadian outpost fly in operation 185 air miles north of Red Lake in the remote Opasquia Provincial Park. Big Hook's housekeeping cabins are the most remote in Northwestern Ontario with great walleye & northern fishing.

Outposts: When looking for a remote walleye & northern pike fly in fishing trip, choose from our outposts cabins on: West Lake, South Lake, Southwest Lake, Cocos Lake, Burnt Lake, Favourable Lake.

Housekeeping Cabins: Big Hook Wilderness Camps' outpost housekeeping cabins, in the Opasquia Park are the most remote in Ontario making for excellent walleye & northern pike fishing. All cabins have showers, solar lighting, and staple foods are part of the package.

Cabin Rentals: Big Hook Wilderness Camps wilderness cabin rentals located on remote lakes in the Opasquia Provincial Park in Northwestern Ontario have modern amenities ie. showers, solar lights and are well-maintained.

Cottage Rentals: Big Hook's outpost cottage rentals are in a wilderness setting in Northwestern Ontario - Big Hook's cabins have showers & solar lights, located on Cocos, Burnt, Favourable, S.W., West, South, Central in the Opasquia Provincial Park.

Licenses / Fishing: We sell fishing licenses at our main base in Red Lake, you can pick it there before you fly in to our main resort or one of our outpost cabins.
