The camp is located on a rocky point overlooking the narrows to the East, where you will enjoy some of the most beautiful sunrises you can imagine. In the evenings, relax with the beauty of the Canadian Wilderness all around you. The peacefulness of the wilderness setting is something you must experience to fully appreciate. Fall asleep after a great day fishing to the haunting call of the loons as they echo across the lake.
Wabaskang Lake is well known for its excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, Jumbo perch and Whitefish. Our guests enjoy excellent fishing for all these species from within a 10 minute boat ride from camp. The camp is the only camp on the North end of the lake with the closest camp approximately 10 miles away.
The fish cleaning station is screened-in for your comfort, has two sinks with running water, fish pans to take your catch to your cabin, and is one of the cleanest you could hope to find in all of Northwestern Ontario. Your catch for the day can be cleaned, packaged and frozen in the on-site freezer all in one building. Click here for photos of fish cleaning station.
During your stay at Peffley's Canadian Wilderness Camp, I am confident you will enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the camp, the excellent fishing, the cleanliness of the camp, equipment and accommodations, and of course the scenery.
