Fishing Trip: Take your next Canadian fishing trip to Sturgeon Lake. We also have over 30 additional lakes to fish. Fish for walleye, lake trout and northern pike.

Hunting Trips: We offer hunting trips for moose, black bear and small game at our resort on the south end of Sturgeon Lake.

Camping: For our camping guests, Harris Bay Resort offers water and electric hook-ups along with bathroom and shower facilities. All of our campsites are situated on the water's edge.

Swimming: Enjoy swimming off our sand beach. You can also swim out to the floating dock.

Winter Activities / Snowmobiling: If you enjoy winter activities then why not go snowmobiling on our many trails in Northwestern Ontario or ride your snowmobile on the lakes to go ice fishing.

Walleye: Harris Bay Resort offers a day of walleye fishing that will suit everyone's taste. For those interested in fishing ease, leave our dock and fish Sturgeon Lake - a body of water 56 miles long with enough walleye spots to keep you more than busy!

Northern Pike: At Harris Bay Resort, we offer exceptional northern pike fishing on Sturgeon Lake as well as a few "specialty lakes". Sturgeon Lake has many weedy bays where notherns love to hang out. View our photo gallery on our website for huge northern photos.

Trout / Lake Trout: Sturgeon Lake is an very deep, cold lake, with the deepest hole over 300' making it one of the best lake trout habitat lakes in Ontario. The average size of our lakers is from 6-8 lbs with the occasional 20 pounder & over being taken each season.

Conservation Fishing: We offer catch & release lakes to promote conservation fishing in Northwestern Ontario to make sure we will always have great canadian fishing.

Ice Fishing: We have great ice fishing for lake trout in the winter months. Stay in our ultra deluxe year round cabin.

Trout / Brook Trout: Looking for canadian brook trout fishing? At Harris Bay Resort we have access lakes that offer trout fishing.

Wildlife Viewing: Evening trips for wildlife viewing such as "moose spotting", nature walks, wild flowers and blueberry picking are all things our guests enjoy doing, along with the fishing, of course.

Black Bear: At Harris Bay Resort in the Ignace, Ontario area, we offer archery and rifle black bear hunts. Each of our exclusive, BMA's (Bear Management Areas) are expansive tracks of land, boasting solid, healthy bear populations.

Moose: At Harris Bay Resort, in the heart of the Northwestern Ontario wilderness, we offer exceptional archery moose hunts. Our area, Wildlife Management Unit 15A, has the largest concentration of moose in the province of Ontario.

Birds / Grouse: Whether you like the traditional rifle hunt, or perhaps to try your hand at archery for grouse, our area will provide you with plenty of action. The high concentration of grouse make this an exceptional area for the avid small game hunter.

Boat Launches: There is free boat launching if you are staying in a cabin or if you are camping with us at Harris Bay Resort on Sturgeon Lake. The daily user fee if you are not staying at the resort includes use of the boat launch ramp, fish cleaning and parking.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: Our fishing boat rentals are either a 14 or 16' Lund. Motors are 15 hp. If you'd like to upgrade, rent a 17 1/2' Lund Outfitter boat with a 50hp 4 stroke motor, built-in gas tank, live well, bait well, casting deck & comfortable swivel pedestal seats

Boat Rentals / Canoes & Kayaks: Create lifelong memories with your children. All of our younger set enjoy free use of paddle boats, canoes, knee board and water ski equipment.

Boat Gas: Boat gas, oil, bait and ice are available. A cement boat launch and floating dock area for your convenience if you bring your own boat.

Boat Cache: If you'd like to fish smaller lakes, we have plenty of boat caches for your use while staying at Harris Bay Resort. From the boat caches, you can even portage to more lakes loaded with fish.

Housekeeping Cabins: Our housekeeping cabins are completely self-contained for a fishing or family vacation to Ontario, with all of the comforts of home. Enjoy our complete kitchens with micro-waves, fridge, stove,coffee makers, toasters, all the pots & pans you'll need.

Cabin Rentals: Relax in our spacious living rooms and sleep soundly in our comfortable, carpeted bedrooms. The cabin rentals have air conditioning in the heat & electric heat during the cold snaps keep you well-rested and ready for another day of fabulous fishing.

Cottage Rentals: At Harris Bay Resort, all of our cottage rentals are deluxe or better! Treat yourself to the most in comfort and convenience in our one and two bedroom cottages.

Family Vacations: At Harris Bay Resort, we offer super savings for family vacations in July & August! Children enjoy free use of paddle boats, canoes, knee board & water ski equipment. There is a floating diving dock a safe distance from our sandy shore for swimming.

Campgrounds / RV Parks: Camping at our RV park on Sturgeon Lake north of Ignace, Ontario includes FREE boat launching, freezer service, fish wrapping paper.

Drive In Access: Drive in to our lodge on Sturgeon Lake. Harris Bay Resort is located on Highway 599 just 1 hour north of Ignace, Ontario. We are 230 miles from International Falls and 510 miles from Minneapolis.

Campgrounds: For our camping guests, our campground offer water and electric hook-ups along with bathroom and shower facilities. All of our campsites are situated on the water's edge.

Guides / Fishing: For those "first time" trout fishing novices, take advantage of our completely outfitted, 19 foot Rally boat and fishing guide, who will show you where and how to catch your trout.
