Northern Pike: Lake of the Woods routinely produces both in size and numbers great Northern Pike, with the average being in the 5-10 lb. range. Fishermen catch and release true trophies up to 37 lbs each year while on fishing trips to Nestor Falls, Ontario.

Muskie: NOBODY, can hold a candle to the MUSKIE ACTION on Lake of the Woods. Guys from far to the north to guys from the south, east or west all come looking for the chance at a trophy musky. Our lake holds the largest concentration of both numbers & size.

Crappie: Average sizes on Lake of the Woods range from ¾ lb. to 1¼ lb., with Crappie up to 2¾ lb. taken each year. In the fall, the schools can be graphed - up to 100 yards long and 20 yards wide.

Deer: Northwestern Ontario has consistently & will continue to produce heavier bodied(largest body size in North America) & large racked whitetailed deer. They are plentiful in the Lake of the Woods area. Racks ranging from 10-20 points are not uncommon.

Black Bear: Lecuyer's Tru-Tail Lodge is located in an area which supports a very healthy bear population. We do our own conservation by limiting the dates of hunts as well as the number of black bear hunters we accept each year from our resort in Nestor Falls.

Moose: We also boast some prime moose hunting opportunities. We have some vast areas in the Nestor Falls area of Northwestern Ontario that have timber harvesting going on. These are ideal locations.
