Niobe Lake Lodge

Fishing Trip: Niobe Lake offers excellent Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike fishing. Within a short drive of the lodge you can also fish area lakes for Lake Trout, Northern Pike, Walleye or Smallmouth Bass.

Hiking: Hiking is an activity many of our guests enjoy. Hike around the lodge or into Quetico Provincial Park, with its hundred year old pines.

Canoeing & Kayaking / Canoeing: The Atikokan area offers many great canoeing opportunities. See wildlife as you paddle across the crystal blue water. Quetico Provincial Park is a 10 minute drive away.

Birdwatching: Birdwatching opportunities are many and varied.

Ecotourism: Our part of Ontario is a paradise for ecotourism. See wildlife in its natural habitat and enjoy the beauty of the boreal forest environment.

Secluded Settings: We are in a secluded setting yet still accessible by car.

Golfing: Golfing is available in Atikokan, which is only 15 minutes away.

Clubs / Photography Clubs: The lakes and forests in our region make for some spectacular photography. Plan a trip with your photo club and enjoy our great service and hospitality.

Clubs / Birders Clubs: We would love to host your birders club.

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: Smallmouth bass can be caught in Niobe Lake and in other lakes in the area. You'll return year after year to experience unforgettable Canadian fishing adventures.

Northern Pike: Northern pike are great fighters and lots of fun to catch. Northerns can be caught in Niobe Lake or in one of the many lakes surrounding Niobe.

Walleye: Walleye are a delicacy and everyone should enjoy a shorelunch of this tasty fish. You can fish for Ontario walleye on Niobe Lake or in the lakes surrounding it.

Trout / Lake Trout: Lake trout can be caught on lakes within a short drive from Niobe Lake Lodge.

Wildlife Viewing: There is a wide variety of wildlife in our area. Moose, black bear, deer, beaver, eagles, loons - the list goes on and on!

EcoTours: Stay at our lodge and use it as your base for exciting ecotours through the boreal forest. Quetico Provincial Park is 10 minutes away. The White Otter Castle and White Otter lake are also in the vicinity.

Housekeeping Cabins: We have the newest housekeeping units available in Northwest Ontario. Five new cabins built in 2000!

Family Vacations: We are a great destination for a fun-filled family vacation! Day trips from the Lodge could include canoe trips into Quetico Park, bird-watching, tours of White Otter Castle or White Otter Lake or visit Thunder Bay's Old Fort William.

Cabin Rentals: Our clean well-equipped cabin rentals include electric lights, fridge & stove, single beds with all linens & bedding, hot & cold running water, full 4-piece bath with flush toilets, dishes, utensils and BBQs. TVs with VCR's and satellite available.

Cottage Rentals: Our Ontario cottage rentals are 15 minutes from golfing in Atikokan and 10 minutes from Quetico Provincial Park. Of course you an also fish on your Canadian vacation.

American Plan: We offer Basic American Plan, a Deluxe AP Plan and a Super Deluxe Plan. All plans include lodging in modern cottages; daily maid service; all meals (shore lunch for fishermen); aluminum boat with motor & gas, storage of fish & access to all 40 lakes.

Drive In Access: We are located within a day's drive of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Chicago, Des Moines, and Milwaukee on the shores of Niobe Lake, approximately 110 miles west of Thunder Bay. Drive in off Highway 11 right to our lodge.

Groups: We cater to groups - business, vacationers or family get togethers.
