Sauger : Sauger are caught in this area. They are commonly mistaken for walleye.

Black Bear: Canadian black bear hunts. If you are looking for a black bear hunting experience, Northumbrian Resort offers one of the largest bear hunting areas in Northwestern Ontario. We have a 92% success rate on bear kills with our baited stands.

Boat Launches: Want to bring your own boat along? We have boat launches to accomodate all guest to access some of the best fishing in Northern Ontario.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: We also offer fishing boat rentals for those that need one. Whether you are fishing Abram Lake or Lac Seul we can provide you with a boat and motor rental.

Boat Gas: For convenience we offer boat gas. No need to bring it along or go into town to fill up.

Housekeeping Cabins: Need accomodations in Ontario during your fishing or hunting trip? We have housekeeping cabins available. Our cottage rentals are clean and comfortable, heated by oil, with electric lighting, refrigerators, and electric stoves.

Cottage Rentals: Cottage rentals and outposts cabins are both available at Northumbrian Resort. We offer excellent accomodations in the Sioux Lookout area for you fishing, hunting or family vacation.

Cabin Rentals: Accomodations in Sioux Lookout available at Nothumbrian Resort. We have bright, clean and comfortable cabin rentals. All have inside flush toilets, showers or baths, and hot/cold approved water. Blankets, bed linen and towels are provided.

Licenses / Fishing and Hunting: Purchase your fishing and hunting license at Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout.

American Plan: We have an American plan at our outposts (Root Bay, Arc Lake) available upon request. All outposts have fire pits as well as wood and BBQ's on site. Our outposts all have walleye and northern pike, except Carling which has lake trout as well.

Guides / Hunting: Hunting guides are available at Northumbrian Resort in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. Northumbrian Resort takes care of your hunting needs whether it be drive-in or fly-in. We have three different types of hunts available.

Amenities / Pets Allowed: You can bring you dog along on your family vacation to Ontario. Pets are allowed at Northumbrian Resort in the Sioux Lookout area.

Fly In Access: For the avid sports fishermen who like to get away from highway accessible waters and crowded lakes, Patricia Fly-in and Northumbrian Resort have set-up a series of fly in access outpost camps that are isolated with great fishing!

Amenities / Open Winter: We are open in the winter. We offer both ice fishing and snowmobiling packages. Something for everyone who loves the outdoors in the winter.

Drive In Access: We are a drive in access resort. We are on Abram Lake located right on Highway 72 at Sioux Lookout, just 39 miles from the Trans Canada Highway 17. All main highways from the U.S. connect with Highway 17.
