Hunting Trips: Whiskey Jack Lodge is the place to come for hunting trips in Northwestern Ontario. Bear hunting is available. We will assist you in tracking, skinning and preparing your trophy as part of your hunt.

Winter Activities / Snowmobiling: Our area offers endless trails between remote lakes for great snowmobiling and excellent ice fishing. And, for the comfort and convenience of our ice fishing guests, Whiskey Jack's shower house facilities remain open year-round.

Camping: We also offer camping for our guest. Campsites are equipped with electric and water hookups. A canadian vacation at its best!

Trails / ATV Trails: While on your fall Canadian vacation bring your quad and enjoy our atv trails or grouse hunting in Northwestern Ontario.

Secluded Settings / Remote: You will enjoy the remote secluded setting of Whiskey Jack Lodge on Sturgeon Lake in Northwestern Ontario. The village of Savant Lake is 12 miles away for convenience.

Birdwatching: Bring your binoculars along to enjoy birdwatching. View many different species of birds during your Ontario vacation.

Walleye: Excellent Walleye fishing in Ontario! Walleye are abundant in Sturgeon Lake and on remote lakes near by. There is potential for trophy-sized walley. Walleye fishing in Northern Ontario at its best!

Northern Pike: Sturgeon Lake is teeming with Northern Pike. At Whiskey Jack Lodge you will be impressed with the Norhtern Pike fishing. Visit a more remote lake that is seldom fished for a trophy-size Northern Pike in Ontario.

Trout / Lake Trout: Sturgeon Lake provides excellent fishing opportunities under almost any weather conditions, thanks to its many bays and islands. All major species (Walleye, Lake Trout, and Northern Pike) are numerous. Ontario fishing at it's finest!

Ice Fishing: Whiskey Jack's season runs from January to April 15. Walleye, Northern and Lake Trout are all abundant through the ice. Bring your snowmobile! Our area offers endless trails between remote lakes for great snowmobiling and excellent ice fishing.

Wildlife Viewing: Bring your camera along for wildlife viewing. View our wildlife in their natural habitat from Caribou to Timber Wolf, and enjoy the tranquility that only the true northwoods of Ontario can provide.

Black Bear: Whiskey Jack's black bear area consist of over 400 square miles of exclusive hunting territory. Over 75 baits are maintained on a daily basis with bow shots ranging from 8-12 yards. We will assist you in tracking, skinning and preparing your bear.

Birds / Grouse: Combine your Ontario fishing trip with small game hunting! Grouse & Rabbits are very abundant in our area and are hunted along the edge of logging roads. Ducks are hunted in small rice ponds. See the rates page for our small game/fishing package.

Primitive Weapons Hunting: We offer primitive weapons hunting at Whiskey Jack Lodge on Sturgeon Lake. Best area for black bear hunting in Northwestern Ontario.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: Fishing boats and motors are available in packages or rent one daily or weekly. You don't have to tow your boat all the way up to Sturgeon Lake.

Boat Cache: We offer boat cache for excellent fishing in Northern Ontario.

Cabin Rentals: We offer clean, comfortable accomodations for your fishing or hunting trip to Northern Ontario. We have 8 fully modern cabins to accomodate your Canadian vacation north of Ignace, Ontario. All cabins overlook Sturgeon Lake.

Cottage Rentals: Enjoy our cottage rentals in Northwestern Ontario. All cottage rentals include electricity, hot and cold running water, flush toilets, showers, all cooking utensils, dishes, automatic drip coffee maker and bedding. Cottages are on Sturgeon Lake.

Housekeeping Cabins: Whiskey Jack Lodge on Sturgeon Lake has 8 modern fully equipped 2 and 3 bedroom cabins. Housekeeping cabins are available. Enjoy your Canadian fishing trip in our comfortable accomodations.

Family Vacations: Whiskey Jack Lodge offers a fun filled family vacation in Ontario! There is something to for everyone including a playground for the kids.

Drive In Access: Whiskey Jack Lodge is drive in access. We are found conveniently just a half mile off of paved Highway 599, 68 miles north of Ignace. Savant Lake is 12 miles north.

Campgrounds: Whiskey Jack Lodge offers campgrounds on Sturgeon Lake. Our campsites have electric and water hookups. For the campers there is a large, clean shower house.

Amenities / Open Winter: Open winter- Whiskey Jack's season runs January to April 15th. Walleye, Northern and Lake Trout are abundant and caught ice fishing. Bring your snowmobile!

Guides / Fishing: Let one of our experienced guides take you fishing in the Canadian wilderness. You will experience fishing on lakes that are seldom fished and enjoy a traditional Canadian shore lunch prepared by your personal fishing guide.

Air Services / Day Trips: Day trips are available to fish more isolated seldom fished cache lakes. These lakes are stacked with large Walleye and Northern Pike. Boats are included in a weeks boat rental cost.

Outposts: Vanessa Lake Outposts- The only cabin on the lake, beautiful sandy beach, includes cabin, boat, motor, and gas.

Amenities / Wireless Internet: Whisky Jack Lodge offers wireless internet for our guest. You can stay connected way up north during your Ontario vacation.

Amenities / On-site Bait & Tackle: No need to purchase your bait and tackle before you arrive. At Whiskey Jack Lodge on Sturgeon Lake we offer on-site bait & tackle. One less thing to bring along with you.

Amenities / Games Rooms: Unwind and discuss your day's catch back at the main lodge where we offer satelitte TV and a games room.

Amenities / Pets Allowed: Bring your best friend along! Pets are allowed for $5.00 per pet/day at Whiskey Jack Lodge just north of Ignace, Ontario.

Amenities / Satellite TV: Whiskey Jack Lodge has satellite TV in the main lodge. Although you are isolated in the Canadian wilderness in Ontario, you can still catch the big game.
