Activities / Attractions
Fishing Trip: We offer the best fly-in fishing trips in Northwestern Ontario. Fishing for Walleye, Northern and Lake Trout is no less than spectacular! All our lakes are on river systems so they maintain good fishing all through the summer.
Hunting Trips: Our Ontario fly-in hunting trips for Moose are an experience not to miss. Most moose hunting is done along the remote outpost lake shorelines as well as flowages that are coming into the lake at various locations.
Secluded Settings / Remote: All of our fly-in outpost cabins are located in remote secluded settings. Often you will be the only people around. Our main base is 4 1/2 hours north of the Canadian/US Border and then you fly up to 150 air miles north.
Birdwatching: If you enjoy birdwatching, northwestern ontario offers a great variety of species for your enjoyment.
Angling
Walleye: Our lakes have unbelievable walleye fishing. We have references to prove it - visit our website to read about past customers' fly in walleye fishing trips. In the past few years we've maintained a NO TROPHY policy so now walleyes over 25" are common.
Northern Pike: Flyin fishing for Northern Pike on outpost lakes is Fantastic. 38-46" Trophy northern's are common not the exception. We recommend spinning or bait cast rods,10-20 lb test line. Dare devils, 5 of diamonds & Johnson silver minnows are preferred lures.
Trout / Lake Trout: Our Springpole and Cherrington Outpost Lakes offer Lake Trout fishing as well as walleye and northern pike. Springpole lake has lake trout right off the dock. Largest Lake Trout in 2006 was a whooping 30 pounds.
Conservation Fishing: Amik Outposts a fly in fishing outffitter prides ourself in being one of the leaders of the conservation fishing policy. Our lakes have seen a steady increase in the number & average size of trophy walleye & northern pike each year.
Flyfishing: If you enjoy flyfishng, bring along your rod and try it on some of our remote fishing lakes in northwestern ontario.
Nature and Adventures
Wildlife Viewing: Wildlife viewing in northwestern ontario is incredible, watch bald eagles soaring overhead, the plaintif call of the loon, majestic moose and much more.
Wildlife Viewing / Photography: Don't forget your camera as the wildlife photgraphy in our area will keep you busy while on your vacation to ontario.
Hunting
Moose: Our canadian moose hunts are in the early portion of the season for moose in Ontario. The 3rd monday in September is generally the start of the season. Fly in to our remote outposts for a successful guided moose hunt in Northwestern Ontario.

Fly In Access: We offer real Canadian fly in fishing & hunting. Its an experience you'll never forget. Our fly in outpost cabins are 70 - 150 air miles north of Red Lake, Canada. Fly into lakes such as Shearstone, Jeanette, Cobham, Cherrington, Loree & Black Birch
Housekeeping Cabins: For your canadian fly in fishing trip all our outposts are housekeeping cabins, most have gas fridges & stoves with solar power lighting and a spectacular view of the lake. You supply the food we supply the great Canadian fishing experience!
Outposts: We have 11 remote canadian fly-in outposts on premier fishing lakes. The best outpost fishing & hunting Northwestern Ontario has to offer. Our outposts have solar-powered lighting, hot & cold running water, fully equipped kitchens.
Cabin Rentals: Rent a remote outpost cabin and have a Canadian Lake all to yourself. Our cabin rentals are all fly in outpost cabins in Northwestern Ontario. Our northern cabins are solar powered with indoor facilities and are equipped with satellite phones.
Cottage Rentals: Lakeside cottages for your ontario fishing trip located on remote Canadian lakes. Come, experience the difference remote fishing offers. The cottage rentals have solar-powered lighting, hot & cold water, showers, fully equipped kitchens.
Air Services: Amik Outposts air services provides excellent and punctual departures from Red Lake, Ontario for the guests to fly in to our remote outposts.
Licenses / Fishing and Hunting: We have fishing and hunting licenses available for sale. With our conservation policy we will supply a conservation license to every party at our North Lakes that do not take any fish home with them.
Announcements: We have Moved! Red Lake is our new base of operations. A little further drive but the Larger town, with more ammenities, such as stores and hotels is well worth the trip. The shorter flights also ensure that you will be on the lake and fishing sooner.
