Secluded Settings / Remote: If you are looking for a remote secluded setting for a fishing trip location then Conifer Lake, 44 miles north of Minaki is for you. This lake is only accessible by float plane.

Spa / Hot Tubs: While vacationing at our resort in Minaki on the Winnipeg River relax in our lakefront hot tub after a fun-filled day on the water.

Walleye: Walleye fishing is excellent throughout the season and since we are located on the Winnipeg River System with many interconnecting lakes such as Gunn, Pistol, Big Sand or Rough Rock Lakes you'll never have trouble finding a good fishing hole.

Northern Pike: Northern pike are abundant throughout the Winnipeg River system and many trophy northern pike are caught during the early and late season. As well as fishing the river for pike you can also access Rough Rock, Pistol, Little Sand and Gunn Lake.

Muskie: Parts of the Winnipeg River system offer excellent muskie fishing with some fish approaching 50 inches. Musky in the 40 inch range are relatively common.

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: Pound for pound, smallmouth bass are Ontario's best fighting fish. Enjoy access to a wide variety of smallmouth bass fishing locations amongst our chain of lakes that include Gunn, Pistol, Rough Rock and Big & Little Sand.

Perch: Perch is a tasty panfish can be found in good numbers along the Winnipeg River System and make for a great shore lunch.

Wildlife Viewing: While staying with us on the Winnipeg River and you enjoy wildlife viewing you have the opportunity to see and photograph a wide variety of wildlife.

Berry Picking: Wild blueberries and raspberries occur in the surrounding forest near our resort in Minaki. Enjoy a day berry picking.

Deer: A deer hunting trip to the Minaki, Ontario area with the recent mild winters have resulted in an explosion of the whitetailed deer population. Your chance for a trophy whitetailed buck are good at Barber's Resort.

Boat Launches: If you wish to bring your own boat at Barber's Resort in Minaki, Ontario we have a boat launch available for you.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: We offer fishing boat rentals at our resort on the Winnipeg River System in Minaki, Ontario.

Cabin Rentals: For your ontario fishing trip or family vacation our fully modern cabin rentals all have their own private dock on the Winnipeg River and each cabin is located on the river for you to enjoy a beautiful view from your comfortable accomodations.

Cottage Rentals: At Barber's Resort in Minaki, Ontario our cottage rentals are available in all 4 seasons, come out & enjoy the beauty of Northwestern Ontario's wilderness. 2 to 4 bedroom very modern, comfortable, each cabin is completely outfitted for housekeeping.

Housekeeping Cabins: Our housekeeping cabins are fully modern, the cabin rentals have lakefront views with hot & cold running water, fully winterized for 4 season canadian adventure whether it be for summer or winter ice fishing you are sure to be comfortable.

Fly In Access: As well as the main lodge in Minaki, Ontario Barber's Resort also has a Fly in outpost 44 miles north of Minaki on Conifer Lake and enjoy spectacular fishing for walleye or northern pike on a remote wilderness lake.

Outposts: Our fly in outpost cabin on Conifer Lake offers anglers a true Canadian fishing experience for walleye and northern pike on a remote lake set in a secluded setting. Four to seven day fishing packages are available.

Drive In Access: We are a drive in resort located near Minaki just north of the City of Kenora. Take hwy 11 to 71 when you leave the canadian border crossing from there follow hwy 71 to hwy 17, 17A then take Hwy 596 to your destination at our resort.

Amenities / Open Winter: We are an open winter resort, all of our accommodations fully winterized for you to enjoy winter activities such as snowmobling, ice fishing, crosscountry skiing or even downhill skiing at Mount Evergreen Ski Hill in Kenora just a short distance away
