Great fishing... "Upscale" accommodations available in a remote, private and peaceful setting on the mainland at Minaki, Ontario,on the Winnipeg River System OR experince unbelieveable fly-in fishing at our "Trophy Waters" Roger Lake & Maynard Lake Outposts.

At Big North Lodge in Minaki you will find a cedar main lodge and 6 cottages all situated along the shoreline to allow a beautiful view of Gun Lake. Our camp, with a maximum capacity of 30 guests, is small enough to be considered your own private fishing lodge, but has the advantages of personalized service and hospitality offered by your hosts. Choose from Housekeeping Cottages or American Plan Packages.

Enjoy the beauty of a wilderness setting with all the comforts of home. Fully modern cottages, comfortably furnished, can accommodate 2 to 6 people and as many as 10 to 12 in our large 4 bedroom cottage. All have microwaves, propane or electric heat, electricity, hot and cold running water, private bathroom with basin, shower, tubs and flush toilet.

Throughout the season, from May to October, fishing is excellent for walleye, northern pike, bass and muskie. Fish Gun Lake or the Winnipeg River System from the main lodge. If you're staying at one of the outpost cabins, you'll be on Maynard Lake (part of the English River System) or Roger Lake on the Sturgeon River. Big North Lodge offers deer hunting, moose hunting, black bear hunting,and wolf hunting.
