Bear hunting in Canada is an activity enjoyed by hunters from the United States, Canada and overseas. The Sunset Country region has vast tracts of Boreal forest, rich in berries, roots and other natural forage preferred by these animals. Along with high populations of the smaller mammals that bears eat, all the ingredients are here to support a healthy bear population.Bears in Ontario come in many color phases from black to brown to cinnamon bears. Big males may weigh more than 500 pounds.
