Walleye: Your Canadian Walleye fishing trip to Sabaskong Bay in the Nestor Falls area of Northwestern Ontario is a great spot. Lake of the Woods not only offers good numbers of shore lunch size fish, but also opportunity to catch a fish of 30 inches or more.

Muskie: Muskie fishing on Sabaskong Bay on Lake of the Woods has consistently produced excellent numbers of muskie in the 40 to 50 inch class. You'll have a chance of a trophy musky when fishing from Hanson's King Island Lodge on your canadian fishing trip.

Northern Pike: For your Canadian Northern pike fishing trip, Sabaskong Bay on Lake of the Woods has some of the best pike fishing in Northwestern Ontario. Right after ice out you can find them up in the shallow bays ready to feed.

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: Bass fishing is possibly the best kept secret about Lake of the Woods, not only does it produce excellent numbers of smallmouth bass, but also lots of fish in the 17 to 21 inch class. Sabaskong Bay also has Largemouth Bass fishing as well.

Crappie: Crappie are shy, scrappy, finicky & delicious. Crappie fishing is generally spring and & fall and usually small jigs and minnows work best. Good numbers of fish and size up to 17 inches in our area of Sabaskong Bay on Lake of the Woods

Wildlife Viewing: Natural Beaver ponds, meadows and tree ridge stands offer great options for wildlife viewing. You will find up to 50 species of birds and wildlife, from Beavers and Foxes, to Deer, Moose, Bear and Wolves... bring your camera!

Black Bear: At Hanson's King Island Lodge we hunt Black Bear in 2 exclusive, vast bear management areas in the Nestor Falls area of Lake of the Woods. All black bear hunting is from pre-baited stands & is all from our remote boat-in locations.

Deer: Deer Hunting in Northwestern Ontario is know for it's large animals that can range up to 200-230 lbs. In The Nestor Falls area of Lake of the Woods we at Hanson's can offer you some of the best whitetailed deer hunts in the area

Moose: Our remote moose hunting areas in the Nestor Falls area offer some of the highest concentrations of Moose in Canada. The moose hunt is a 6 day package that includes accommodations, moose licence, meals, boat & motor and a guide.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: We have 16.5' fishing boat rentals & 40 HP Yamaha outboard motors. They are fully modern boats with carpeted floors and swivel seats with back rests, for your comfort while you are fishing on Lake of the Woods.
