Secluded Settings / Remote: Accessible only by float plane, our Lodge is located in a remote seclude setting on the renowned English River System. The rustic comfortable lodge, the only one on the lake, provides a remote fishing experience on truly unspoiled waters.

Fishing Trip: For a fishing trip, Walleye, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Muskie or (Musky) if you prefer is what you will experience. They're what Canadian Wilderness Fishing is all about. Maynard Lake provides some of the best action in Northwestern Ontario.

Hunting Trips: Fall is a time of few people and simple pleasures at Maynard Lake. Imagine, flying into an 8,000 acre lake and miles of prime hunting land just waiting to be discovered for a canadian hunting trip to remember.

Trails / Hiking Trails: Walk one of our nature hiking trails and capture some wildlife on film or take the time to walk down beside the incredibly beautiful waterfalls.

Golfing: Situated at the edge of the property is a fully equipped golf platform where you can spend your non-fishing hours honing your golf skills.

Spa / Saunas: While on vacation at Maynard Lake Lodge take time and relax and try our cedar log sauna.

Walleye: Canadian Wilderness Fishing at it's finest when you spend your walleye fishing trip on Maynard Lake. Walleye are plentiful and range in all sizes from those great eater for a shore lunch all the way to the possiblity of a trophy walleye.

Muskie: Maynard Lake Lodge offers a great muskie fishing destination providing some of the best action in northwestern ontario's. Trophy musky,walleye & northern pike are a good possibility.

Northern Pike: When you fly in to our Maynard Lake Lodge for your northern pike fishing vacation in Northwestern Ontario you will not be disappointed with the great fishing that awaits you where Northern's in the 40" range are common.

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: For a change of pace while fishing at our resort on Maynard Lake near Kenora, Ontario, fish for smallmouth bass on Bass Lake, a small lake teeming with smallmouth bass up to six pounds.

Flyfishing: If you enjoy flyfishing then a fly rod can be a lot of fun for Bass Lake fishing. We suggest a durable rod case to avoid the disappointment of broken rods during transport.

Conservation Fishing: Maynard Lake Lodge strongly promotes conservation fishing. Our catch & release policy will ensure quality and quantity northern pike, walleye and muskie fishing for years to come.

Black Bear: Maynard Lake Lodge's Bear Management Area is a huge tract of land surrounding us and has been virtually unhunted for years . This has resulted in a high population of large black bears. Our ontario bear hunts are all pre-baited hunts.

Moose: The Maynard Lake area is renowned for its trophy moose and holds some of the largest records for moose shot in Ontario. At Maynard Lake, we take only three hunters per year.

Birds / Grouse: For a hunting trip to Maynard Lake for fall fishing, combine both fishing and grouse hunting, or plan your bear or moose hunt with your bird hunt.

Boat Rentals / Paddle Boats: In your non-fishing hours while on your family vacation in northwestern ontario, try heading out on the water in a paddle boat - great fun for both adults and children.

American Plan: Maynard Lake is an American Plan Lodge located near Kenora, Ontario - our plan includes coffee at your doorstep in the am, a hearty breakfast, shorelunch & "All you can eat" family style dinner. Our chef creates world-class meals second to none.

Family Vacations: July & August are most popular for family vacations at Maynard Lake Lodge because the weather & water temperatures for swimming are the most suitable. It's a wonderful place for children & their parents to experience nature in all it's splendor.

Housekeeping Cabins: Our luxurious new fly in outpost cabin on Oak Lake is a spacious 900 sq. ft. 2-bedroom log cabin comfortably sleeps 8 guests. Fully outfitted including a Weber propane grill our housekeeping cabin sets a standard that is the envy of remote fishermen.

American Plan Fly In Lodges: For a relaxing ontario vacation we are an american plan fly in lodge located on Maynard Lake on the English River System near Kenora, Ontario.

Amenities / Games Rooms: Just off the dining room is the games room. Here you can play pool, darts, cards, watch Satellite T.V., a movie or just relax in it's peaceful surroundings.

Amenities / On-site Bait & Tackle: For your convenience, the lodge has a radio telephone and an on-site bait & tackle shop, containing practical tackle for fishing Maynard Lake.
