Our Ontario Wilderness Houseboat base is located at Gill's Morson Marina on Hanson Bay on pristine Lake of the Woods. Once you arrive in Morson you will benefit from a one stop shop at the Morson Shopping Centre to purchase your fishing and hunting licenses, to browse for that special souvenir of Lake of the Woods, to pick up some fresh meat and produce for delicious BBQs during your vacation, to try out some of the most popular local lures for catching that trophy fish you've been dreaming about all winter, visit the post office to send post cards to friends back home, or drop by the liquor and beer store for your refreshment needs.

After you've taken care of your shopping, continue on to Gill's Morson Marina where you'll be met by Stewart & Yvonne Gill, your hosts, and our friendly, courteous staff, who will help you load up, and will acquaint you with the equipment on board. A marine radio keeps you in touch with our base station, and in touch with the weather. We will spend time with you studying the detailed lake chart; suggesting celebrated fishing spots, and instructions on how to best secure your craft for the night. Protected bays and islands provide lots of calm waters and are excellent places to tie up for the evening.

Once you've completed the orientation, you're the captain Cruising the Woods!

Vast stretches of secluded sand beaches. Shorelines explored by mink, otter, fox, beaver, or possibly a deer down for a drink. What a change from the multitude of cabins, resorts and docks found on ordinary lakes! Cruise to relax, swim, read, and enjoy life in this refreshing setting. Take photographs of the bald eagles, blue herons, loons and many other birds that have made Lake of the Woods their sanctuary. Set your own schedule to enjoy the comfort, convenience and quiet of a houseboat vacation. Marvel at sunsets that are spectacularly breathtaking. Be happily caught under the spell of the magnificent blend of pine and rock and fresh air.
