Expeditions/Treks / Backcountry: This is your chance to get off the beaten path with an experienced guide who can take you to areas seldom traveled. An opportunity to see one of the many inhabitants of the Canadian backcountry.....otter, beaver, fox, deer, moose, eagles & hawks.

Swimming / Sand Beach: At our lodge in the Vermilion Bay, Ontario area, we have a beautiful sand beach to relax and enjoy swimming on a hot summer day.

Canoeing & Kayaking / Canoeing: We have a canoe for canoeing or 2 paddle boats at the lodge for you to explore the shores of Eagle Lake.

Hiking: Enjoy hiking on our main nature trails that you will find in the Vermilion Bay area of Northwestern Ontario while on your vacation with us.

Walleye: Walleye are numerous in Eagle Lake. There is a chance for trophy walleye as well as many good eating sized fish. Canadian walleye fishing at its best.

Muskie: Muskie is probably the most exciting fish to catch and Eagle Lake is definately famous for its large musky. Our drive-in fishing lodge is located in Vermilion Bay, Ontario, Canada.

Northern Pike: Northern pike are an extremely aggressive fish and will go after just about any presentation you throw at them. Your Ontario fishing trip to Eagle Lake with the possibility of a trophy northern pike will be an adventure to remember.

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: Smallmouth bass are abundant in Eagle Lake - pound for pound they are probably the best fighting fish out there. Our bass fishing packages include a marked lake map and fishing tips.

Trout / Lake Trout: Lake trout run deep during the summer on Eagle Lake but are much easier to catch right after ice out. Canadian lake trout fishing is available just a short boat ride from the lodge.

Whitefish: Whitefish are often overlooked by anglers but they are a fun fish to catch and make excellent eating.

Sauger : Eagle Lake supports a population of sauger - a close relative of the walleye.

Perch: A favourite of panfish anglers, perch are abundant in Eagle Lake.

EcoTours: We offer guided ecotours into the backwoods for wildlife viewing and scenic points of interest in the Vermilion Bay area of Northwestern Ontario.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: We offer heavy duty 16.5' Alumarine fishing boat rentals that are well suited to our area of Eagle Lake. Matched with a 20hp Mercury motors, they are an ideal fishing combination. Fully equipped with swivel seats, flat floors & depth finders

Boat Launches: We have a complimentary boat launch and docking for private fishing boats of our guests on ANY package. Our docking is "Worry Free" in our sheltered harbour, protected from wind and waves.

Housekeeping Cabins: For a canadian vacation for fishing or a family vacation Vermilion Bay Lodge offers clean and comfortable fully modern housekeeping cabins on Eagle Lake for our guests. We are conveniently located near Vermilion Bay, Ontario.

Family Vacations: Vermilion Bay Lodge is the ideal setting for fun-filled family vacations, great fishing, sand beaches for swimming, paddle boats for fun. Our family package includes Mom, Dad & up to 4 children. The lodge is located near the Town of Vermilion Bay.

Cabin Rentals: Vermilion Bay Lodge offers fully modern, comfortable cabin rentals on Eagle Lake - 2 or 3 bedroom with private bath, single beds, warm Hudson Bay blankets, screened lake-view porches, and fully equipped for Housekeeping including all linens & towels.

Drive In Access: We are a drive-in camp. There's no need to fly in. However, we do offer fly-in day fishing trips through Wilderness Air Charter Service. We also offer complimentry transportation to and from the Vermilion Bay Airstrip if you fly into Vermilion Bay.

Guides / Fishing: Our experienced fishing guides will get you on top of more fish. You can also go on a guided fishing trip to a remote lake.

Air Services / Day Trips: At Vermilion Bay Lodge is you wish we can arrange air service for day trips to remote lakes such as McGregor, Otter, Caribou or Long.

Amenities / On-site Bait & Tackle: At our on-site bait & tackle shop we have live bait, ice, tackle, guides and plenty of free advice available. Your day's catch will also be cleaned, packaged and frozen at no extra charge.

Licenses / Fishing: For your convenience while on your fishing vacation at Vermilion Bay Lodge, we sell fishing licenses at the lodge.

Maps / Outfitter Supplied: Marked maps of Eagle Lake are supplied with your housekeeping package.
