Swimming: The waters of Lake of the Woods are cool and clean and make for great swimming during July and August.

Secluded Settings / Islands: Our lodge is on a island secluded setting on Lake of the Woods which is an incredible fishing lake & one of the most beautiful in the world. Its immense size and wilderness setting is something that is attractive to any and every outdoor enthusiast.

Walleye: When you spend your canadian fishing vacation at Whitefish Bay Camp you will enjoy excellent walleye fishing on Lake of the Woods. You will see fish averaging from your trophy walleye to many good eating size which are great for shore lunch.

Northern Pike: For a great canadian vacation come up to northern Ontario for some fast action northern pike fishing on Lake of the Woods. You may hook into a pike of 20 pounds or more.

Muskie: Lake of the Woods is known for its trophy muskie fishing. While on your fishing trip to ontario enjoy comfortable accommodations on our secluded island resort and try your luck catching "The big one".

Bass / Smallmouth Bass: Lake of the Woods has some of northwest Ontario's best fishing for smallmouth bass. These feisty fish are, pound for pound, the best fighters in the lake.

Trout / Lake Trout: Whitefish Bay is probably the best spot on Lake of the Woods for lake trout. Fish up to and exceeding 20 pounds are caught every year. Average size lakers are around 3-5 pounds.

Crappie: There is an excellent population of black crappie in Lake of the Woods. Some days it seems like you're fishing out of a barrel!

Whitefish: One of the main sources of food for muskie, northern pike and lake trout, whitefish are very common in some spots on the lake.

Perch: While fishing for walleye or northern pike Lake of the Woods also offers you the chance at large perch.

Bass / Largemouth Bass: Largemouth bass are not as common as smallies but this area of Lake of the Woods has a good population.

Moose: This is one of the best areas for moose hunting! Whitefish Bay Camp receives from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources a limited number of moose tags in management zones 7-A (muzzle loader or archery only) and 7-B (a rifle hunt zone).

Deer: Lake of the Woods in Nestor Falls, Ontario is a great area for hunting for whitetail deer. Our area is well known for it's trophy deer.

Birds / Grouse: If you enjoy fall fishing on Lake of the Woods combine it and try grouse hunting - there's plenty around.

Black Bear

Birds / Duck: Whitefish Bay Camp has excellent duck hunting. Located on Lake of the Woods on a migratory path making for excellent hunting.

Boat Rentals / Fishing Boats: Our fishing boat rentals are 16' Lunds with 20-25 hp motors or our upgrade fishing boats are 16' Princecraft with 30-40 hp motors, as well as trolling motors and fish locators.

Boat Rentals / Paddle Boats: While on your family vacation take some time out for some water fun. As well as swimming why not go out for a ride in a paddle boat.

Boat Launches: For those of who who enjoy bring their own fishing boat for their canadian vacation with us at Whitefish Bay Camp we have a boat launch available for your use.

American Plan: For a canadian vacation at our resort have your choice of Full American Plan - which includes lodging, boat & motor, up to 5 gallons of gas per day OR the Modified Plan which includes only your evening meal not all 3 daily meals. The choice is yours!
